Conical sigillée Cup

Generally considered as a luxury production, the sigillée is distinguished by its orange-red appearance, obtained by applying a waterproof slip, hard and often brilliant. Most of Samian ceramics found in Guéthary testifies early production of Montans workshop with brands LEPTATVS of PARATVS and ACVTVS, whose end productions seems to coincide with the last years of the reign of Tiberius.
